Abe was born on May 15, 1922, in Nehrovo, Czechoslovakia (now Ukraine), a very small farming community. During World War II, Abe survived years of forced labor and the Concentration Camp Deutschkreutz in Austria. Abe eventually immigrated to the United States and met the love of his life, and wife, Florence Rosenblum. With her support, Abe was able to start a very successful vending business, it was then that his business grew immensely, and so did their family.
