At the age of 18, Friddie, born in Bucharest, married Freddy, a charismatic, charming scientist. However, in 1940, shortly after their wedding, the new husband vanished. Friddie was wrongly imprisoned for a crime she never committed and spent the next nine years in a Romanian prison and then four years in a concentration camp because of her Jewish lineage. While in prison, Friddie wrote poems, which Roni shares, along with some photos in her presentation.
