Daniel Kuhn

For nearly a decade, Daniel has worked for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), an independent, non-partisan agency that works for Congress to help improve the performance of the government and help it work more efficiently. Daniel is a Senior Analyst at GAO auditing programs under the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice.
Daniel is a former executive board member of the planning committee of the Federal Interagency Holocaust Remembrance Program, where he also served as GAO’s agency representative. In addition, Daniel previously served as a board member of 3GDC.
Daniel has a Master’s in Public Administration from American University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Michigan State University, with minors in Jewish Studies and Muslim Studies.

Three of Daniel’s four grandparents were Holocaust survivors. Daniel’s speaking engagements focus on his paternal grandfather, Alex Kuhn. Alex spent his life speaking in schools and throughout the Detroit community
Alex was born in Kisvarda, Hungary, in 1931. When Hungary was occupied by the Nazis he was 13 years old. During the Holocaust Alex was forced into the Zalaegerszeg ghetto, imprisoned at the Auschwitz-Birkenau and Mauthausen concentration camps, and survived a death march.
